Spring Cake-a-thon

The culinary occupations students have been working on a cake decorating unit for the past few weeks. Students learned how to use piping bags and different tips. They also did a frozen buttercream transfer and some even used fondant for decorations. The culminating activity for the unit was choosing a design and decorating a spring or Easter themed cake. The cakes were then voted on by high school students and staff. The overall favorite was the lamb by Delaney McEwen.
Mrs. Riddle was very pleased with the designs and proud of her students for trying different techniques. She says they all were great!
